SHOEBALOO, a company founded by the entrepreneur Hartog Streim in Amsterdam, has built a reputation as the foremost source of high end designer footwear, bags and accessories in the Netherlands and beyond.

The SHOEBALOO success story started in the early seventies, with a small store in the infamous Jordaan area in the city centre of Amsterdam, when selling the popular Spanish boots ‘Botas Camperos’. With a growing fashion clientele, the company decided to relocate in 1983 by opening a store at the Koningsplein, Amsterdam, selling solely men’s shoes. In less than a decade a second store was opened in 1991 in the high end designer shopping street the P.C. Hooftstraat, Amsterdam. The P.C. Hooftstraat the home of the most elegant and expensive shops, immediately set the high standard for SHOEBALOO, emphasizing on the international cutting-edge labels as Prada, Gucci and Dolce&Gabbana.

In 2000 another prestigious shopping destination was added in the Leidsestraat in Amsterdam, solely emphasizing on the ladies. In the following years SHOEBALOO expanded as the velocity of light, with a Flagship store in Rotterdam in 2006, offering the complete SHOEBALOO collection and a Fashion Extra’s store in the Cornelis Schuytstraat, offering accessories, it-bags and all the Fashion Extra’s. With the renowned Dutch architectural office Meyer en Van Schooten Architects (MVSA), responsible for the stores on the PC Hooftstraat, Rotterdam, Maastricht and Utrecht, architect Ronald Hooft who signed for the sleek and sophisticated interior of the store at the Cornelis Schuytstraat, the unique SHOEBALOO shopping experience was set. Six stores with the typical SHOEBALOO look and feel, outstanding interiors, sophisticated taste have created the perfect SHOEBALOO shopping experience.

After seven stores in the Netherlands, SHOEBALOO has finally launched an online shop for its customers throughout Europe. A place where selected high end designer wear meets editorial news, photography and artwork.
